Deriving its name from a Mayan hero god, Xbalanque is filled with Mayan art and Honduran crafts. Xbalanque was a twin god who conquered the underworld and arose to become the moon. His twin, Hunaphu became the sun. You will experience amazing views of the sun and the moon on the two rooftop decks at Xbalanque.

Indulge in a luxurious suite or opt for a classic villa, all just steps away from the white sand beach, a turquoise ocean and the world’s second largest barrier reef. Our suites offer you a full gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, two bedrooms with marbled baths and a private deck.

Xbalanque del Mar Villa and Heliconia Villa offer more spacious living in a private tropical setting. Each villa offers three or four bedrooms with private baths, gourmet kitchen, spacious living areas and private infinity pools.

The Lotus Restaurant provides Xbalanque guests with exquisite cuisine and intimate dining by the pool and is open to the sea breezes and sunset views. Our own chef, Raul, will create cuisine featuring locally grown food and fresh seafood. Sushi is a specialty. Sit and relax after a full day of activity right at your front door at the Buddha Bar, sipping a mojito and listening to cool house music.

Stay in shape using our exercise room located on site, or practicing yoga at the palapa on the water. We have a yoga instructor available.
